Kids’ Muay Thai
Muay Thai is a combat sport that uses fists, kicks, knees, and elbows. In each class your child will learn how to utilise these ‘eight limbs’ effectively against an opponent, however, they will also learn respect, patience, perseverance, and humility. Many parents start their children in Muay Thai classes for different reasons, including self-defence, as a way to keep them fit and active, or just for fun.
Getting your kids involved in something that keeps them fit and active is important, but the bonus with martial arts is that it will keep their mind active, too!
Beginners will learn the basics, including Muay Thai stance, basic movements, and technique. They will work with partners to practise their skills and, when they feel confident with their abilities, will engage in light touch-sparring only (no hard hits) with other students. All children learn and grow at their own pace, and all are taught to respect and value both their instructor and each other, no matter what their level of skill and ability.
All students are required to wear gloves at all times

Kid’s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art that uses ground-fighting techniques to defeat an opponent. One the the reasons this is such a fantastic sport for children is the fact that strength and size don’t matter as much as skill and technique. It is designed so that a weaker or smaller opponent can still defeat a larger and stronger one.
This alone makes it fantastic for children of all ages, but also for those who have low self-esteem or confidence.
We will help you Bully Proof your children.
For children with mild physical disabilities, it’s also a great way to get fit and active, and allows for them to modify their technique to suit their own needs. Your child will also develop their patience, timing, and fortitude as they learn this magnificent art.
All students studying BJJ are required to wear the traditional uniform known as a GI, including a belt. Grading takes place each term, and your child will learn what drills they are required to demonstrate, with lots of time during class to practise their moves.
